What is Home Care?
Home Care Services are designed to provide healthcare support at home to promote independent living. In consultation with your doctor, we write an individualized care plan to provide for your needs. Our staff - nurses, therapists and aides - comes to your home by appointment to provide services. Your privacy is protected at all times.

Do you provide home visits in the community?
No, we provide care only in specific assisted living residences.
Why can't the Resident Service Director, who is a nurse, help me?
Assisted Living Residences are licensed for housing and supportive services such as bathing, dressing, eating, transportation, and other activities of daily living. By regulation, assisted living staff is not allowed to provide skilled nursing or rehabilitative therapies.
Who pays for your visits?
Home Health visits are prescribed by your doctor and, therefore, are usually covered by Medicare and/or other health insurance plans. Most clients pay nothing for our services.
How do I become your client?
You would become a new client by requesting that your doctor call or fax us a service order. The Resident Care Director at your assisted living residence can also request the doctor to refer services to Grell Home Care if that is your preference.
If I am leaving the hospital, can I use Grell?
We would be happy to care for you if you are going to reside in an assisted living residence where we deliver services. Simply inform the discharge planner/social worker that you would like Grell Home Care.
Do you only serve a Jewish population?
No, we employ all denominations and serve all populations.
What does it mean to be a certified agency?
A certified home care agency is one that has met federal requirements to provide care that is paid for by Medicare, Medicaid and other health insurers.
How do I make a charitable donation?
As a non-profit organization, Grell Home Care relies on charitable contributions to be able to provide extra services and educational programs beyond what is covered by Medicare. We would be honored to accept your donation as a tribute or a memorial for a loved one.
